TV Couple Siddhant Karnick-Megha Gupta Get OFFICIALLY DIVORCED After 4 Years Of Marriage

Best known for his role in Zee TV's 'Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani' opposite Drashti Dhami, actor Siddhant Karnick & actress-wife Megha Gupta get divorced.

New Delhi: TV couple Siddhant Karnick & Megha Gupta, tied the knot in a court marriage in August 2016, however last year news of trouble in the couple's marriage shocked many. In April 2019, various reports suggested that things are not well between Siddhant-Megha Gupta and the two actors might head for split. The couple chose not to talk much about that time however Siddhant has now confirmed his separation with Megha. The duo started living separately in March last year and filed for divorce. After around 4 years of marriage, Siddhant-Megha got officially divorced few days ago. Yes, you read that right!

Speaking about the problems in their marriage, Siddhant informed a leading daily that, "No marriage is easy. In our case, I would say that we ran out of patience. In any relationship, peace of mind is of paramount importance. It’s like you pinch yourself on your arm and keep that pressed… after some time, you get used to it and live with it. Then suddenly, when you separate and that pinch goes away, you feel, ‘Oh, my God! I was missing this peace of mind’. That’s the best way I can summarise my marriage. Megha and I went for therapy and tried to do everything we could to make it work, but in vain. We even started living separately in March last year. We felt that it would be better if we lived apart for some time and see if distance made the heart grow fonder. However, we realised that we had more peace of mind when we were not together." Sharing his views abut divorce, Drashti Dhami's 'Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani' co-star further told TOI that, "Divorces can get ugly, but fortunately, it didn’t turn ugly for us. That’s because Megha and I decided to leave when there was still a little love left between us, which helped us sail through." This is indeed a sad news for the couple's fans. On the career front, Siddhant Karnick was last seen in a cameo role in Star Bharat's 'Kaal Bhairav Rahasya 2' featuring Gautam Rode & Additi Gupta in lead roles. He's also a part of Taapsee Pannu's recent release 'Thappad'. Whereas, Megha Gupta's last TV stint was in 'Ayushman Bhava' in which she played a negative role. Stay tuned for more updates!
