Anupamaa: Tragic Death Of Camera Assistant Due To Electric Shock On Rupali Ganguly’s Set

A tragic accident on the sets of ''Anupamaa' resulted in the death of a camera assistant from an electric shock.

New Delhi: On Thursday, November 14, in Mumbai, an unfortunate incident happened on the sets of the popular television show ‘Anupamaa’, which featured Rupali Ganguly. A camera assistant, whose name has not been released, tragically died after being electrocuted while operating technical equipment on set. He could not be rescued despite rapid medical treatment and being brought to the hospital. The crew member reportedly died after coming into touch with an open wire by mistake, leading to a deadly short circuit.

The show's production company, Director's Kut Productions, which is run by Rajan Shahi, has not commented officially on the event as yet. The unexpected death has shaken the television industry to its core, as members of the fraternity and coworkers have expressed their worry about the safety procedures on production.

Similar concerns have been voiced before, and this event only adds fuel to the fire over the safety regulations of film and television sets. ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’, another popular program, had a huge fire last year that damaged neighbouring sets.
