About SOTY 3
The SOTY franchise is being turned into a web series with its third installment announced by Karan Johar. While making the announcement, the filmmaker had shared that Reema Maya would direct the web series. There were speculations that Shanaya Kapoor and Ibrahim Ali Khan may be roped in for SOTY 3; however, there hasn't been any official confirmation regarding this.
KJo had mentioned that the SOTY web series would delve into Reema’s narrative world. "Reema Maya will be directing the digital version of 'Student of the Year'. But, it will be her way and definitely not mine because if I'll enter Reema Maya's world, then I will make it more an illusion, which is what her name means. I just wanted it to be her voice. She made it her own series,” Karan had told Times Of India.
The original ‘Student Of The Year,’ released in 2012, marked the Bollywood debuts of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra. The sequel starred Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, and Tara Sutaria in leading roles.
