Tamannaah To Play Female Lead In Rajinikanth Starrer 'Jailer'?
Tamannaah also has the romantic drama Gurthunda Seethakalam, which is an official remake of the Kannada film 'Love Mocktail' in the pipeline.
New Delhi: Tamannaah Bhatia is one of the most sought-after actresses in the industry. While Tamannaah has a host of interesting projects like 'Babli Bouncer' and Amazon Prime Video's 'Jee Karda', talks about Tamannaah starring opposite Rajinikanth have also been circulating. According to reports, Tamannaah might star in Nelson Dilipkular's action-entertainer alongwith the mega superstar.
If the industry grapevine is to be believed, actress Tammannaah Bhatia has now been roped in for director Nelson Dilipkumar's much-awaited action entertainer 'Jailer', featuring the Tamil superstar Rajinikanth in the lead.
However, there has been no official confirmation in this regard. In fact, the only actress to have confirmed her presence in the project is Ramya Krishnan, who is believed to have told a publication that she had begun working on the film from August 10.
Work on this film is progressing on a specially erected jail set in a Hyderabad studio. Well-known stylist Aalim Hakim has been roped in to create the superstar's look for this film.
The film, which will be Rajinikanth's 169th, is being produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures and has Anirudh scoring its music. Other members of the cast and crew are yet to be officially announced by the unit.
Tamannaah also has the romantic drama Gurthunda Seethakalam, which is an official remake of the Kannada film 'Love Mocktail' in the pipeline. Looks like Tamannaah is exploring diverse roles at this point in her career.
In a recent interaction with ETimes, she shared, "But I feel like today, after being in the industry for 17 years, I don’t think I’d want to repeat that. I don’t think the audience has seen me do so many films in that space.”
Talking about how the OTT space has opened up an array of opportunities, Tamannaah added, “For me as an actor, it’s great. What I could not do 10-12 years ago, I can do now. Also what wouldn’t have been accepted 10-12 years ago, would probably be accepted now.”
