Taapsee Pannu Loses Her Cool At A Reporter: 'Phir Bologe Actors Ko Tameez Nahi Hai'

After an argument with the paparazzi during the promotions of her film ‘Dobaaraa’, Taapsee Pannu had another war of words with a reporter on the red carpet of the OTT Play Awards 2022.

New Delhi: After an argument with the paparazzi during the promotions of her film ‘Dobaaraa’, Taapsee Pannu had another war of words with a reporter during a media interaction on the red carpet of the OTT Play Awards 2022. She asked the reporter to do his homework before asking any questions. 

The video of the interaction is going viral on social media, in the video at first Taapsee is asking the reporters to not shout, “Chillao mat bhai, phir ye log bolege actors to tameez nahi hai (don't scream. Then you'll say actors have bad manners).” 

When a reporter asked her about the ‘negative campaign’ against her film ‘Dobaaraa’, she replied, “Kaunsi film ke against nahi chalaya gaya (Which film was spared)?” When the reporter further tried to question her, the actress told him, “Aap mere sawaal ka jawab de dijiye, main aapke sawal ka jawab de dungi. Kaunsi film ke saath nahi chalaya gaya (You answer my question and I’ll answer yours. Tell me which film was spared)?”   

The reporter then said that even critics ran a negative campaign against the film. Hearing this, Taapsee replied, “Ek baar thoda sa homework kar lena question pooch lene se pehle (Please do your homework before asking any question)." 

Recently, during the promotion of ‘Dobaara’, Taapsee got into an argument with the paparazzi while the promotion of her film. The incident happened when the actress reached for a promotional event at Mithibai College in Mumbai. The argument started when the photographers asked her to wait for photos but when she didn’t, they told her that they had been waiting for the past two hours. Taapsee got upset and asked the paparazzo to speak to her in a respectful manner and informed them that she is following the schedule she’s been given.    

Taapsee later denied being rude to the paparazzi and said that a lot of photographers forget that the celebs are public figures and not public property. She also narrated the whole incident and said the person concerned was very rude towards her and a few members of the paparazzi take advantage of being behind the camera.   

At the OTT Play Awards 2022, Taapsee won the award for Best Actor Female – Popular (Film) for her performance in the Netflix film Haseen Dilruba.
