Ameesha Patel has previously told Hindustan Times, “It feels wonderful to be back on such a historic film. Actually, it is surreal to get back to play the character of Sakina along with Tara Singh (Sunny Deol). It doesn’t seem like 20 years to me. Sakina is part of my blood, so getting into the skin of the character didn’t require any effort. She is so lovable and pure. Even while doing Gadar, I felt that she is an extension of me, so it is very simple for me”.

The first movie ‘Gadar - Ek Prem Katha’ is still celebrated amongst Indian audiences. The movie created a new wave of nationalism in the country and the storyline still rules millions of hearts!

Directed by Anil Sharma, 'Gadar 2' also features Anil's son Utkarsh Sharma, who played the role of Sunny and Amisha's son in the first part.

The music of the film is composed by Mithoon with lyrics written by Sayeed Quadri.

Besides the star cast, Simrat Kaur, Manish Wadhwa, Sajjad Delafrooz, Luv Sinha and Gaurav Chopra are also part of the film.
