Kollywood star Thalapathy Vijay will next-be-seen in the action entertainer 'Leo' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The much-awaited film is slated for theatrical release on October 19, 2023.

New Delhi: Kollywood star Thalapathy Vijay will next-be-seen in the action entertainer 'Leo' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The much-awaited film is slated for theatrical release on October 19, 2023. Anirudh Ravichander recently released the first song from the film, 'Naa Ready', and it's been getting a lot of positive feedback.

Reports that a case has been brought against the celebrity under the Narcotics Control Act are currently going viral on social media. These reports state that a lawsuit was brought against Vijay for the song's promotion of alcohol and cigarette use. Vijay's supporters, on the other hand, are standing up for him and saying that the moment is only a scene from the movie. Vijay and his crew, meanwhile, have decided to stay silent on the issue.

For encouraging drug use and disorderliness in the Naa Ready song, an activist by the name of RTI Selvam has filed a complaint against the crew. The activist from Chennai's Korukkuppettai has complained about Vijay and the Leo film's creators for encouraging drinking and smoking in the song Naa Ready. On June 25, he submitted his petition online, and on June 26, he filed his lawsuit.

Selvam allegedly claimed in his complaint that a few lyrics from the song "Naa Ready" advocate drugs and disorderly behaviour and has accused Vijay of partaking in smoking and drinking. According to the Times of India, Selvam also stated in the police complaint that he will seek action against Vijay in court.

The song 'Naa Ready' is sung by Vijay himself. Along with Vijay, actors Mansoor Ali Khan and Sanjay Dutt can be seen in the song's lyric video. While others are seen drinking booze, the song shows the actor dancing while smoking cigarettes. Vijay can be seen smoking a cigarette on the song's poster as well.

'Leo' is being helmed by 'Vikram' fame Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt in the lead antagonist role while Trisha plays the female lead. 'Leo' also stars Mathew Thomasn, Priya Anand, Gowtham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Action King Arjun among others in pivotal roles.
