New Delhi: Tamil superstar Rajinikanth has shared that he is unaware about the Justice Hema Committee report or its findings. The 233-page report, released four-and-a-half years after it was sent to the Kerala Government, highlights issues like gender bias, pay disparity, sexual harrassment, lack of basic civic amenities, treatment of women junior artistes in the Malayalam film industry. The Hema Committee report, which has not just shocked the entertainment industry in the South but across the country has become a major topic of discussion everywhere.
Recently, when megastar Rajinikanth was asked to comment on the report, the 'Jailer' star simply stated that he was unaware of the report. The Tamil star was swarmed by reporters at the Chennai airport, where paparazzi also asked him about his upcoming film 'Coolie' among other things.
When Rajini was asked to comment on the Justice Hema Committee report, he said, “What? I am not aware of it, sorry."

Meanwhile, Mohanlal, actor and former president of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), recently resigned from his post. Mohanlal's resignation came with those of 17-member executive committee, after the release of the Hema Committee report.
“I was AMMA president for the last two terms. The entire Malayalam cinema is answerable to the Hema Committee report. What we are seeing is that all questions are directed only at AMMA. AMMA cannot give answers to all the questions. Everybody should be asked these questions. This is a very hard-working industry. A lot of people are involved in this, but not everyone is to be blamed in this. The responsible ones will be punished," Mohanlal had then told the press.
Superstra Mammootty also broke his silence on the Hema Committee Report, and welcomed the report by taking to his official Facebook handle.
