About Rajinikanth's Coolie
Starring Rajinikanth in the lead, 'Coolie' is expected to be a high-octane action thriller. In addition to Rajinikanth, the film boasts a stellar cast, including Telugu superstar Nagarjuna, Kannada actor Upendra, Malayalam actor Soubin Shahir, and Tamil star Sathyaraj. Bollywood's Aamir Khan is also reportedly making a cameo appearance.
The film will feature prominent actors like Shruti Haasan, Rebe Monica John, and Junior MGR in key roles. With Anirudh Ravichander composing the music, Girish Gangadharan handling cinematography, and Philomin Raj editing, the technical team is set to deliver a visual and auditory treat. The film is produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures.
One of the most exciting aspects of ‘Coolie’ is the reunion of Rajinikanth and Sathyaraj, who haven’t shared the screen together in nearly 38 years. The two were last seen in the 1986 hit Mr. Bharath, where Sathyaraj played Rajinikanth’s father. Interestingly, Sathyaraj had previously turned down roles in Rajinikanth’s iconic films like Enthiran and Sivaji.
Rajinikanth's film ‘Coolie’ will center around the theme of gold smuggling. Director Kanagaraj has clarified that this film will stand on its own, not linked to his Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).
