After shattering box office records following its December 5 theatrical release, ‘Pushpa 2’, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, is ready to take over your screens. On Wednesday, Netflix India dropped an exciting teaser, announcing that the much-awaited sequel will premiere on the streaming platform on January 30.

With 23 minutes of extra footage, Netflix announced that the OTT version will be streaming this month. "Pushpa Bhau ne sun li aapki baat, ab Pushpa ka rule, Hindi mein bhi. ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ has now crossed an impressive 50-day run at the box office. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie is estimated to earn Rs 1232.84 crore by the end of its 56-day theatrical run. While the earnings have slowed down, with only Rs 7 lakh earned on Day 56 (January 29), this is still an improvement compared to the Rs 5 lakh made on Day 54 (Monday). Despite the dip, Pushpa 2 has significantly outperformed its predecessor, Pushpa: The Rise, which grossed Rs 267.55 crore at the Indian net box office.

‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ continues the story from ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, showing how Pushpa Raj now leads the red sandalwood smuggling operation, rising from his daily wage worker roots. Rashmika Mandanna returns as Srivalli, his loyal wife, who defends him against his family. Fahadh Faasil plays the police officer Bhanwar Singh Shekawat, still dealing with the humiliation from the first movie. The film ends by setting up the next chapter, ‘Pushpa 3: The Rampage’.
