New Delhi: Rumours about actor Sara Ali Khan and cricketer Shubman Gill being in a relationship have been doing the rounds since August when a video of the two dining together at a restaurant went viral. In October, two more videos surfaced fuelling the rumours of their relationship once again.
Now, the cricketer has addressed the speculations on Preeti and Neeti Simoes’ Punjabi chat show, 'Dil Diyan Gallan'. The show’s host Sonam Bajwa asked the cricketer who is the fittest female actor in Bollywood, to which he answered Sara.
He was then asked if he is dating Sara, to which he replies, “May be.”
Sonam further pressed him to elaborate his answer and said, “sara ka sara sach bolo,” Shubman answered with a blush on his face and said, “sara da sara sach bol diya. May be, maybe not.”
In August a TikTok user shared a video in which a woman is seen saying that she just ‘saw Sara at Bastian’, followed by a clip and a still of the actor sitting across the table from the cricketer, placing an order with a waiter next to their table. Sara was seen in a pink outfit, while Shubman wore a white and green shirt.
Then in October, two more videos surfaced online. One video showed Sara exiting a hotel lobby and then the camera panned around and another person, whom netizens guessed as Ꮪhubman Gill, was seen.
The second video, posted on Reddit, showed Sara taking selfies with fans aboard a plane, and then going to her seat, and sitting next to a person who looked like the person from the first video. And Reddit users were sure the person was Shubman Gill.
Sara was earlier rumoured to be dating Kartik Aaryan. Karan Johar confirmed their relationship on ‘Koffee With Karan’. He told Sara, “Last time you were on this couch, you made a public announcement that you wanted to date Kartik Aaryan and that did happen.” Sara also confirmed the relationship by saying Yes.
