Shaheer Sheikh Jokes About Wearing An Unironed Shirt To Award Night, Wife Ruchika Reacts

Shaheer shared a video from the Red Carpet ceremony and joked about wearing an unironed shirt to the prestigious award function.

New Delhi: Popular television actor Shaheer Sheikh was recently honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for the Best Actor On TV on Sunday. The actor won the Award for his role in the daily soap 'Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi'.

Shaheer shared a video from the Red Carpet ceremony and joked about wearing an unironed shirt to the prestigious award function.

Shaheer looked a complete dapper dressed in a black shirt paired with black fitted jeans and tan coloured boots. The actor happily posed for the paps at the award ceremony and realised that he wore an unironed shirt to the event, after a video of his started doing the rounds on social media. Being a complete sport, Shaheer shared the video on his Instagram and joked that he should have at least ironed the shirt.

He wrote, "I should have at least ironed the shirt. 🙈just found this video in a story I was tagged in."

Shaheer's sportsman spirit got appreciated by his wife Ruchika Kapoor, as well as his co-stars. Commenting on the post, Ruchika wrote, "Hahaha… but best husband of the year award also."

Actress Supriya Shukla wrote, "Kaam dikhta hai... Shirt nahin... Chill. Congratulations." Television actress Shubhavii acknowledged Shaheer's simplicity and wrote, "This just shows how comfortable you are in your skin and how humble you are so kuddos to that my friend.'

Earlier, Shaheer had shared a gratification post on receiving the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award in the Best Actor On Tv category. Writing a long note, thanking everyone, he wrote, "Delighted, humble and grateful."

On the work front, Shaheer will be seen in television soap 'Woh Toh Hai Albelaa'. The actor will also be seen in a short film titled 'Yaatri Kripya Dhyaan Dein' opposite Shweta Basu Prasad. The short film will release on February 24.
