Rhea Chakraborty LIVE Updates: Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty, who found herself embroiled in a drug angle linked to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, was on Tuesday arrested by the NCB, the first major arrest in connection to SSR case. Her bail plea was rejected and she has been sent to 14 days of judicial custody

The Sushant Singh Rajput death case is currently investigated by three Central agencies – CBI, ED and NCB where the Narcotics Control Bureau has been probing the ‘drug angle’ in the case. Till now, NCB has arrested Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, Dipesh Sawant and now the actress has been arrested by the agency under various sections of NDPS.

Sufficient evidences have been found against the late actor’s girlfriend and the senior officer at NCB KP Malhotra informed that an official statement will be released in this regard. The ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’ actress will undergo COVID-19 test in Sion hospital and will then be lodged at women’s lockup in NCB office.

Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh filed a complaint to Medical Council of India stating, "any consultation between Sushant Singh Rajput & Registered Medical practitioner Susan Walker was strictly confidential & disclosure of same would be misconduct under IMC regulation."

If Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde files a plea and the session court takes up her bail plea, then only the actress can get relief by tomorrow evening. If the session court gives another date for hearing, the Bollywood actress might have to stay in Byculla women's jail.
