Ranbir Kapoor Opens Up About Daughter Raha: 'I Just Want To Be At Home With Her'

Ranbir Kapoor, who is currently promoting his upcoming film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, opened up about being a father. He said he thought there were no more emotions to explore until Raha was born.

New Delhi: Actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt welcomed their daughter Raha in November 2022. Ranbir, who is currently promoting his upcoming film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, opened up about being a father. He said he thought there were no more emotions to explore until Raha was born. 

A video of the actor, during a promotional event, is doing the rounds on the Internet where he talks about his daughter Raha.  

Ranbir Kapoor said, “Mujhe laga abhi aadi life toh ho gayi he toh abhi aur kya hoga, you know… shaadi bhi ho gayi he, I love my wife and all of that. But I think the moment my child was born, Raha was born, it opened a different emotion… a different ‘chakra’ in your body.” 

“You know, I have never felt like this ever in my life. (Pauses) And it is pure joy, you know I just want to be at home, I just want to be with her… mujhe kaam nahi karna, kuch nahi karna. But aisa kar nahi sakta… but my feeling is just… I can’t explain it! It’s the best feeling in the world,” the actor added. 

Alia also spoke about motherhood and how it changed her life in an interview with Varitety in December last year. “Motherhood has changed me so much in the span of — I mean, it’s, as I give this interview, it’s barely been a month, just over three weeks, but I don’t know about how it’s going to change the way I pick my roles yet because I haven’t gotten to thinking about that. But it’s changed the way I look at everything. I just think my heart is a little bit more open than it was before, I don’t know what change that is going to bring about. But we’ll see. I’m excited to see how that journey pans out,” she told Variety. 

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt had announced the arrival of Raha through an Instagram post. They wrote, “And in the best news of our lives, our baby is here, and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love, blessed and obsessed parents, love love love.”
