Pakistani BTS Fangirls Run Away From Home To Meet The K-pop Band, Found In Lahore

Two young girls from Pakistan left their home to travel to South Korea to meet the band BTS.

New Delhi: Two teenage girls left their Pakistani home to travel to South Korea in order to meet the band BTS. The girls, 13 and 14, disappeared from Korangi, a town in Karachi City, and were later discovered hundreds of miles away in Lahore, close to the Indian border.

They were located on Tuesday, according to the police, some 1200 kilometres from their home. The girls, who were inspired by the popular K-pop group to visit South Korea to see BTS, were discovered while attempting to make their way there.

When the two went missing, authorities searched their residences and discovered a diary in which they wrote about wanting to go more than 3,500 kilometres to Korea, according to senior police superintendent Abraiz Ali Abbasi.

“From the diary we saw mentions of train timetables and that they had been planning to run away with another friend of theirs … who we then interviewed,” CNN quoted Abassi.

“We started tracking them aggressively and found out they were in custody of the police in the city of Lahore where they had traveled by train,” he added.

According to Abbasi, plans have been made with Lahore police to return the girls to their Karachi residence.

The police officer went on to say that they found the girls in police custody after they had taken a train from Karachi to Lahore.

BTS is one of the most popular K-pop bands from South Korea. In countries like Pakistan and India, they are enjoy an incredibly fanbase. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook make up the members of BTS.

BTS members are currently concentrating on their own projects. While Jin, the group's oldest member, joined in the South Korean military for the required 18 months of service, others were about to do the same. They are anticipated to come back together around 2025.
