Veteran actors Govinda, Chunky Panday, and Shakti Kapoor will bring a wave of nostalgia and humour as they are the next guests on the latest episode of 'The Great Indian Kapil Show'. The trio, known for their iconic roles in Bollywood during the 1990s, will entertain the audience with amusing anecdotes and playful banter.
Krushna Abhishek and Govinda hug each other on The Great Indian Kapil Show
In a promo shared by Netflix on social media, the episode began with a heartwarming moment between Govinda and his nephew, comedian Krushna Abhishek. The duo, who had been estranged for some time, hug each other. Krushna says, “Do saal baad mile hain, aaj nahi chodhunga (We have met after two years, I won’t let him go today). Hero number one, Coolie number one, and maama (uncle) number one.”

Govinda then asks, “Yeh maama no.1 ka kya matlab hai (What did you mean by uncle number one)? Yeh sab karke maama bana raha hai kya (Are you trying to butter me up)?”
Shakti Kapoor, Govinda and Chunky Panday's fun banter
As the episode unfolded, Shakti Kapoor shared a lighthearted grievance, saying, “It's been 4 years since Chunky borrowed Rs. 4000 from me. He hasn't returned it yet.” Archana Puran Singh, the show’s permanent guest, joined in the fun, asking Govinda if Chunky had ever borrowed money from him. Govinda quipped, “Ye de tab na.”
Adding to the humour, Govinda shared an amusing story involving actress Shilpa Shetty. He recounted how after his gun incident, she came to meet him and asked, “How did you get hurt? Where was Sunita?” When he explained that his wife Sunita was at the temple, she hilariously responded, “Then who shot at you?”
Shakti Kapoor also shared a humorous take on his long-standing marriage, saying, “It’s been 42 years since I got married. In these 42 years, anyone could stand up and claim I’ve had an affair.” At this point, Chunky Panday and Govinda jokingly stood up, pointing at Shakti in mock agreement.
The trio’s camaraderie brought back memories of their collaboration with filmmaker David Dhawan, who directed several of their 1990s hits. Their unique on-screen chemistry was a significant part of Bollywood’s comedic landscape during that era.
Govinda recently made headlines when he accidentally injured his foot in September with his licensed gun.
