Funerals, Feuds & Shocking Exits: Sufi Motiwala Spills Explosive Secrets From The Traitors

Karan Johar’s new reality series 'The Traitors' has captured viewers’ attention with its unpredictable gameplay and a cast that blends glamour, strategy, and friction.

Karan Johar’s new reality series 'The Traitors' has captured viewers’ attention with its unpredictable gameplay and a cast that blends glamour, strategy, and friction. Among the contestants making headlines is fashion commentator and digital influencer Sufi Motiwala, who recently offered an inside look at what’s coming next.

Sufi Motiwala drops major spoilers from The Traitors

In a chat with Pinkvilla, Sufi didn’t hold back while teasing upcoming twists that promise to up the ante. He hinted at some jaw-dropping eliminations that could shake the game, “Spoiler alert, you are not ready for episode 5 and episode 6. Those eliminations are the real gags.”

When asked about the most dramatic episodes, Sufi added, “Episodes 5, 6 and 8 are the episodes to look forward to. One contestant also gets a funeral. It happens in either the 5th, 6th or 8th episodes.”

Karan Kundrra’s eviction was 'unfair', says Sufi

Karan Kundrra's early exit came as a surprise to many, and Sufi believes the eviction was mishandled. Sharing his disappointment over how things unfolded, he revealed there were behind-the-scenes technical glitches that may have affected Karan’s ability to defend himself.

“When Karan’s eviction was happening, there was also a technical malfunction that happened, which resulted in him not really being able to speak his whole part. This resulted in him not taking a stand for himself,” he said, adding that Karan was wrongfully judged.

Sufi on his changing equation with Apoorva Mukhija

The initial tension between Sufi and fellow influencer Apoorva Makhija didn’t go unnoticed, but as the show progressed, the duo found unexpected common ground. Reflecting on their evolving dynamic, Sufi shared that Apoorva once confessed — in front of Karan Johar, no less — that she didn’t like him, which shook his confidence at the time.

Living in a sprawling Jaisalmer palace while navigating mind games and daily evictions brought contestants closer. “The vibe was emotional and intense,” Sufi said, explaining that he and Apoorva eventually bonded over their respective emotional journeys.

No friendship with Uorfi

Though both are known for their bold fashion sensibilities, Sufi and Uorfi Javed didn’t exactly hit it off. Confirming their lack of connection on and off the screen, Sufi said, “I think me and Uorfi (Uorfi Javed) entered the show with no bond and me and Uorfi left the show with no bond.”

Despite the absence of a dramatic feud, it’s clear the two didn’t find common ground in the competitive environment.
