Shah Rukh Khan Wishes Luck To The Archies Team, Recalls Being Fan Of The Comics 'Millions Of Years Ago'
After the poster of Netflix’s upcoming movie ‘The Archies’ was released, Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter to wish the team of the film, that marks her daughter Suhana's debut, good luck.
New Delhi: The poster of Netflix’s upcoming movie ‘The Archies’ was released on Monday. The musical film by Zoya Akhtar marks the debut of Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Sridevi’s daughter, Khushi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. After the poster was released, Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter to wish the film’s team good luck.
Shah Rukh said he loved the comics while growing up and hopes the character of Big Moose, a great athlete but the poorest student in the fictional Riverdale High School, would be part of the upcoming film.
"I remember when I was young ( millions of years ago ) would book my Archie’s Digest in advance to rent. Nostalgia. I hope Big Moose is also in the film! All the best to the whole cast and love," the 57-year-old star wrote on Twitter.

‘The Archies’ is an adaptation of the globally loved 'Archie' Comics. It has the gang of teenagers Archie, Betty, Dilton, Ether, Jughead, Reggie and Veronica at the center of it. Netflix has partnered with Archie Comics for the 1960s-set film, a coming-of-age story that will introduce the teenagers of Riverdale to a new generation in India.
The other four actors set to star in the film are Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Yuvraj Menda and Vedang Raina.
While Suhana, Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, plays Veronica, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi would be seen as Betty, and Agastya, maternal grandson of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, plays the titular lead. Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda play the other gang members like Reggie, Jughead, Dilton and Ethel.
The film has been produced by Tiger Baby Films (Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar) in collaboration with 'Archie' Comics and Graphic India.
The film is touted as a musical experience bursting with youth, rebellion, friendships, first loves and promises to have something for every generation. It will soon be available to stream on Netflix.
