Kriti Sanon On Production Debut 'Do Patti': 'When You Can't Find An Opportunity, Create One'

New Delhi: Actress Kriti Sanon, poised to venture into production with "Do Patti," expressed her satisfaction with the creative process behind the upcoming Netflix film. Starring Sanon alongside Kajol, the movie is helmed by director Shashanka Chaturvedi and scripted by Kanika Dhillon, who also marks her debut as a producer with this project.
Speaking at the 'Next on Netflix' event, Sanon reflected on her desire to explore challenging roles post the success of her critically-acclaimed film "Mimi," for which she earned the National Film Award for Best Actress in 2021. She emphasized her passion for storytelling beyond acting and her eagerness to embark on projects that push her boundaries creatively.
"After 'Mimi,' I sought roles that are multi-layered, intense, and require me to delve into uncharted territories. 'Do Patti' presented itself as an opportunity for me to fulfill that desire," Sanon remarked. "When the right opportunity doesn't come knocking, you create one. 'Do Patti' offered that opportunity for me as an actor."

Sanon praised Kanika Dhillon for providing her with one of her most challenging roles yet and expressed gratitude for being involved in the film's entire creative process, from conception to production. She expressed her hope for more such opportunities in the future.
Dhillon, acclaimed for her work on films like "Kedarnath" and "Haseen Dillruba," commended Sanon and Kajol for their contributions to "Do Patti." She described the film as thought-provoking and highlighted Sanon's exceptional talent, deeming her performance in the film as her best work yet. Dhillon also expressed her delight at casting Kajol, whom she regards as a legendary actor.
In a prerecorded video message, Kajol expressed her admiration for Sanon and Dhillon's collaboration on "Do Patti," expressing her joy at being part of the project.
