The ensemble is led by John Abraham, but Sadia Khateeb is particularly noteworthy for her strong performance as Uzma. The film's compelling story is further enhanced by supporting performances by Denzil Smith, Ashish Vidyarthi, Sharib Hashmi, and Kubra Sait.
'The Diplomat' reportedly had a budget of around 20 crores rupees and earned 40 crores rupees in its lifespan at the domestic box office, according to Sacnilk.
The film vividly brings Uzma Ahmed's remarkable narrative to life, setting it against the tumultuous background of India-Pakistan ties. It delves into the intricate world of international diplomacy, cross-border warfare, and the relentless fight of a single individual against bureaucratic red tape.
ABPLive review of the movie reads: "The Diplomat' is a straightforward retelling of a real-life rescue mission. The film could have benefited from a bit more cinematic drama to make it more commercially appealing. The narrative remains simple, which, while effective in conveying the story, makes some portions feel underwhelming."
