Govinda & Krushna Abhishek Hug In The Great Indian Kapil Show & End Years-Long Feud

Looks like yesteryear star Govinda and comedian Krushna Abhishek have finally found common grounds to walk upon.

Looks like yesteryear star Govinda and comedian Krushna Abhishek have finally found common grounds to walk upon. While a few years ago, Govinda had refused to participate in a Kapil Sharma Show episode featuring his uncle Govinda and aunt Sunita Ahuja, sparking a feud, the two seemed to have patched things up. A recent promo of 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' on Netflix shows the same.

An upcoming episode's pormo from 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' features Govinda, Chunky Panday and Shakti Kapoor as guests. Despite his recent bullet injury, Govinda looks well as he makes a hero's entry on stage. We see him tease Shakti Kapoor about his affairs and then vreak into dance with Krushna Abhishek, who is dressed like a character from 'Ali Baba and 40 thieves'. Tha mama-bhatija share a hug as Krushna's sister Ari looks emotional, in the audience. Krushna is seen saying, "We’ve met after a long time. Won't let you go now."

Govinda is even seen jokingly call Krushna 'a gadha( donkey).'

How it began

Krushna Abhishek and his uncle, Govinda, had a public falling out starting in 2016. The conflict began after Krushna made a joke on his show that Govinda considered disrespectful. Matters worsened when Krushna's wife, Kashmera Shah, posted a tweet that many interpreted as aimed at Govinda, intensifying the tension between them. Over the years, both Krushna and Govinda voiced their frustrations in the media, which only deepened the divide. However, in 2024, they reconciled when Govinda attended his niece Arti Singh's wedding, bringing an end to their seven-year estrangement.

Kashmera also gave Govinda a visit at the hospital after the former suffered a self-inflicted gunshot injury at home. "I was about to leave for a show in Kolkata. It was about 5 in the morning. Aur uss time par vo giri aur chal padi (and it just fell and went off). I was shocked by what happened and when I looked down, I saw a fountain of blood. Then I made a video and spoke to the doctor and got admitted," he told reporters waiting outside his home.

When the actor was asked why he had a revolver in the first place, he said, "When you have fame, you have to be cautious as there are people who love you and then there are those who envy you."
