A lot has changed in the Indian OTT scene recently. There is a wide variety of online series accessible, from romance and mysteries to slice-of-life, but one genre that has recently gained popularity is gritty investigative thrillers. Check out some forthcoming investigative drama web series and films that we can't wait to watch on OTT platforms.

Upcoming Investigative Dramas On OTT

Paatal Lok 2

'Pataal Lok,' the highly-acclaimed sequel, will be returning to Prime Video this year. A sneak peek at the sequel's plot reveals — two separate cases reunite Hathiram and Ansari, drawing them back into a web of intrigue. There will be even more dramatic tension and suspense when Jaideep Ahlawat returns as Hathi Ram Chaudhary. ‘Paatal Lok Season 2’ will also include Tilotamma Shoma and Abhishek Banerjee.

Pill

‘Pill’, starring the talented Riteish Deshmukh, will be his first online series. The show will expose the seedier side of the pharmaceutical business. Starting on July 12, the series will be available on JioCinema Premium for streaming. ‘Pill’ will feature Riteish as a whistleblower who, among other things, fights the pharmaceutical industry's dark side while championing everyone's basic right to health.

The Family Man Season 3

After two great seasons, Manoj Bajpayee's beloved series 'The Family Man' is getting ready for its next season. Taking up just where the last season left off, the next one will tackle a whole new set of obstacles. It will be available on Prime Video.

Delhi Crime Season 3

A third season of ‘Delhi Crime’, starring Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, and Rajesh Tailang, has been greenlit by Netflix. Reportedly just as interesting as the other stories, the new plot will follow the Delhi Police as they investigate yet another intriguing case.

Daldal

The upcoming OTT film ‘Daldal’, directed by Amrit Raj Gupta and adapted from the novel "Bhendi Bazaar," will feature Bhumi Pednekar in her breakthrough role. The drama, which is now shooting, follows Rita Ferreira, a recently assigned DCP whose job it is to look into a string of killings.
