Fisaddi Web Series Review: A Relatable Tale Of Family Bonds And Everyday Struggles

'Fisaddi' is a well-made family series that feels highly relatable. Like 'Gullak' and 'Panchayat', this series brings with it a sense of warmth and belonging.

In life, there are many things we don't have to work hard for—things that are served to us on a platter, like the closest relationships around us: our parents, siblings, and grandparents. These relationships, which seem so endearing in childhood, sometimes don't feel the same when we grow older. While these bonds are inherently strong, they can also become prickly at times. This is not just the story of one individual; most people can relate to this feeling.

We don't choose these relationships, which might be why we sometimes hesitate to nurture them. However, when we face the harsh realities of the world, we often find ourselves running back to the comfort of these very relationships.

The web series 'Fisaddi', written by Durgesh Singh, revolves around these simple yet profound aspects of life. Here's a look at whether this series is worth watching.

Fisaddi Story

The narrative is set in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, where the Kumar family lives a typical life. The family has three children—two sons and a daughter. The daughter once dreamed of becoming an engineer, but her ambitions were sacrificed to marriage. The two sons, Goldie and Vimal, are still pursuing their education. Goldie is studying at a university in Allahabad, while Vimal has just completed his 12th grade and aspires to study at a prestigious university in Delhi.

However, their father insists that Vimal join his brother at the same university. As expected, the father's decision prevails, and Vimal reluctantly joins his brother’s university, thinking it will be fun. But he soon discovers that his older brother is there to keep him in check. What follows are the twists and turns in the story as it unfolds, making for an engaging watch.

Acting and Direction

Bhuvan Arora, who plays Goldie, delivers a commendable performance. He brings authenticity to his role and does full justice to his character. The squabbles and arguments between the two brothers feel very real. Poojan Chhabra, who portrays the younger brother Vimal, also delivers his part with a good sense of realism and understanding.

Gopal Datt, who plays the role of the PCO Grandpa, adds another layer of charm to the series. Directed by Prashant Bhagia, the show avoids becoming mundane and maintains a steady pace, keeping the audience engaged.

Verdict: To Watch or Not?

'Fisaddi' is a well-made family series that feels highly relatable. Like 'Gullak' and 'Panchayat', this series brings with it a sense of warmth and belonging. However, if you’re in the mood for suspense or crime, this may not be the show for you. But for those who enjoy heartwarming stories of family dynamics, 'Fisaddi' is definitely worth a watch

Rating: 3/5 stars.
