Shalini said that her husband, Sanjay Passi, was neighbors with Gauri Khan during their days in Delhi, and both he and Shah Rukh Khan grew up together. Their connection extends to the next generation as well, with Shalini’s son, Robin, having attended university alongside Shah Rukh and Gauri’s son, Aryan.
She shared, “My husband and Gauri were neighbors in Delhi, and they grew up together. In fact, Shah Rukh and my husband studied together. My son and Aryan also went to university together. We are very close; they are like family to us.”

She’s a solid person, whether it comes to family or friends. When she’s in Delhi, she makes it a point to reconnect with school and college friends. It’s truly a pleasure to know her and the family.”
