For the past few weeks, Elvish Yadav has been engaged in a controversy. Six people, including the YouTuber, were accused on November 3 under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120A of the Indian Penal Code (criminal conspiracy) for allegedly selling snake venom to a party in Sector 51 of Noida.
Elvish was interrogated by officials about all the recordings and pictures that had been found at this point during the probe. However, the YouTuber has denied the allegations against him. During the course of their investigation, the police found some leads, and they suspect that if the venom of these snakes has been used in parties, it may have been diluted with chemicals.
"Yadav has joined the investigation. He came to the police station around 11.30 pm on Tuesday. He was then questioned for around two hours and let off. He will be called again," a senior officer of the Noida Police told PTI, requesting anonymity.
There were five cobras, two sand snakes, one python, and one rat snake among the snakes. The 1972 Wildlife Protection Act's Schedule 1 gives protection for each and every one of these snakes. Nine snakes total, eight of which had defanged. The snakes had no venom glands at all.
