Aditya Roy Kapur Confirms Being Part Of Raj & DK's Upcoming OTT Outing 'Rakt Brahmand': Report

Now, it seems that Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK are all set for a new project that will be headlined by Aditya Roy Kapur for their next OTT outing, called Rakt Brahmand.

Filmmaker duo Raj and DK have been on a roll since their last couple of outings including 'Farzi' and 'Honey Bunny' and the appreciation they have received for it. Now, it seems that Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK are all set for a new project that will be headlined by Aditya Roy Kapur for their next OTT outing. While there was only speculation about the Kapur's involvement in the project, it now seems that a confirmation about the project has come from the makers itself.

The project is titled 'Rakt Brahmand-The Bloody Kingdom' and is said to be an action-fantasy series set in a fantastical kingdom. The series will premiere for Netflix and will be directed by Rahi Anil Barve, who earlier directed 'Tumbbad'(2018).

As per an HT report, the first schedule of the shoot of 'Rakt Brahmand' wrapped up in Mumbai and Aditya prepped three months in various art forms like sword fighting, weaponry, horse riding and archery for the same.

Raj & DK confirm colaboration with Aditya Roy Kapur

In an interaction with Hindustan Times, Raj & DK said, "At the heart of Rakt Brahmand is a character that demands strength, intensity and a bit of wackiness, and Aditya brings all of that as the lead. And for his part, he’s been training very hard to meet the demands of the character. Our goal with this show is to create a world that is both original and evokes the fantastical tales we grew up hearing.”

Aditya also shared his excitement about working on the project as he stated, "I’ve been a fan of Raj and DK’s work and they are always finding ways to tell stories in new and exciting ways. The passion they have for this project is infectious and the vision they have for is so unique and genre-bending."

Aditya Roy Kapur will be returning to the action genre after his 2020 film 'Malang'. "The prep has been intense but one of the most enjoyable perks of being an actor is to be able to pick up new skills and this show has me doing that in spades, with everything from sword fighting to archery and horse riding. But possibly even more important than the physical work, there is a huge amount of mental preparation which I’ve been relishing," he added.
