SSR Death Case: NCB Team Raids Rhea Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda's Houses In Mumbai To Probe Drug Link

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has reached the residence of Rhea Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda to probe the allegations of drug use in the Sushant Singh Rajput case.

Mumbai: A team of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday reached the Santa Cruz residence of actress Rhea Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda who used to be Sushant Singh Rajput's house manager to probe the allegations of drug use in the Sushant Singh Rajput Death case. Chakraborty has been accused of supplying drugs to Rajput and it is also alleged that her brother Showik is also involved. ALSO READ | Sushant Singh Rajput Death: Bombay HC Warns Media To Exercise 'Restraint' While Reporting On Late Actor's Case The Deputy Director of NCB, KPS Malhotra, himself was present at the actress' house for the search operation procedure. He told the media present at the spot, that it was just a procedural matter and the raids were being conducted at two places- Rhea Chakraborty and Rajput's close aide Samuel Miranda's house. The search operations began early in morning in both places and are being conducted under the provided under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, NDPS Act. The NCB teams may also gain access to Showik and Rhea’s gadgets such as computers and even emails to investigate their connection further. The Mumbai police are also present at the site to support the ongoing operations. In the latest revelation, Whatsapp chats between Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty indicate that duo used to arrange drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput. According to sources, so far it has come to light that Showik is connected to around 6 drug dealers. The CBI officials grilled Indrajit Chakraborty for over five hours on his third straight day of questioning. He was the first one to arrive at DRDO guest house for the interrogation. The CBI also interrogated Bunty Sajdeh, who is the CEO of Cornerstone Sports and Entertainment Pvt Limited. Sushant’s former manager Disha Salian, who passed away on June 9, used to work for Cornerstone. Sushant's former manager Shruti Modi also used to work for the same company.
