Bollywood Celebs Tweet ‘I Love Mumbai’ After Kangana Ranaut Compares City To PoK

The 'Panga' actress had recently alleged that she feared the Mumbai Police more than the "movie mafia". In another statement, the actress also alleged that the city police force encouraged crime and bullying against her on social media.

The ongoing probe in the death case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has become a political after since many loopholes emerged in the investigation at the hands of Mumbai police. Several questions have been raised on capability of the state authorities. The 'Panga' actress had recently alleged that she feared the Mumbai Police more than the "movie mafia". In another statement, the actress also alleged that the city police force encouraged crime and bullying against her on social media. The controversy heated up further when Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut criticized the actress for insulting the Mumbai police and the city despite earning her living there. The leader in party's mouthpiece 'Saamana' said that Kangana should not come back to Mumbai from her hometown as she does not feel safe in the financial capital. As stated in the reports, Raut in the 'Saamana' blog said, "We kindly request her not to come in Mumbai. This is nothing but an insult to the Mumbai police. The Home Ministry should take action over it." Slamming Raut's remarks, Kanagna once again took to the Twitter alleging that "Mumbai is feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir." Her tweet read: "Sanjay Raut Shiv Sena leader has given me an open threat and asked me not to come back to Mumbai, after Aazadi graffitis in Mumbai streets and now open threats, why Mumbai is feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir?"

Kubbra Sait, who had lent her support to a Twitter trend against Kangana, has now said that "She Loves Mumbai." "I was 17, I wanted to run away to Mumbai. At 27, I chose to make it home. At 37, I still live here. I love Mumbai. This is MY HOME as it is to millions," tweeted Kubbra.
Actress Richa Chadha also stepped forward sharing her experience of living in the Maharashtra capital. The actress claimed that the city has a large heart. Along with her post, Richa also shared a shirt clip of Bollywood veteran star Govinda with song that goes "Bumbai Hamko Jam Gai".
Dia Mirza tweeted, "Mumbai meri jaan. lived and worked here for almost twenty years. Moved here to live on my own at age 19. This city embraced me with open arms and kept me safe. A cosmopolitan, inclusive, diverse, beautiful city."
