Vijay Deverakonda Pens Note For Samantha Ruth Prabhu Ahead Of Shaakuntalam Release: 'It Will All Be Well'

Ahead of release, Vijay Deverakonda penned a heartwarming message for Samantha calling her a 'fighter'.

New Delhi: As Samantha Ruth Prabhu awaits the release of her upcoming film 'Shaakuntalam', Vijay Deverakonda, her 'Kushi' co-star penned a note for her. Ahead of release, Vijay Deverakonda penned a heartwarming message for Samantha calling her a 'fighter'.

Vijay wrote on Twitter, “Sammy, You are so full of love, always wanting to do right, spread cheer, still giving your everything for each shot in a film as if your entire career depends on it. The world might never know what a fighter you have been the past 1 year, always trying to put a smile and your best foot forward for your teams, films and fans even though your body needs a break, needs rest. I wish you all luck for #Shaakuntalam tomorrow. Your will and the love of millions will always keep you safe. It will all be well. Love always, Viay.”

Samantha Ruth Prabhu responded to Vijay Deverakonda's tweet and wrote, "At a loss for words.. Really needed this. Thank you, my hero!!”

 

Recently, the actor cancelled promotions due to poor health. Samantha is playing the titular role in the film which is mounted on a budget of Rs. 80 crores. Samantha updated her fans about her health status on social media stating that the hectic schedule has taken a toll on her health and that she is down with a fever.

On Wednesday, Samantha took to her official Twitter handle and shared, "I was really excited to be amongst you all this week promoting my film and soaking in your love. Unfortunately the hectic schedules and promotions have taken its toll, and I am down with a fever and have lost my voice. Please join team #Shaakuntalam at the Annual Day Event of MLRIT this evening… will miss you.”'

'Shaakuntalam' is adapted for the screen from Kalidasa's Sanskrit play 'Abhijnanasakuntalam'. 

The film also stars Dev Mohan as Dushyanta, the king of Puru dynasty along with Mohan Babu, Jisshu Sengupta, Madhoo Gautami, Aditi Balan and Ananya Nagalla in supporting roles. 

'Shaakuntalam' has been adapted for the screen by Gunasekhar and is also being directed by him. The film has been produced by  Neelima Guna under Gunaa Teamworks and distributed by Sri Venkateswara Creations. 

The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on 14 April 2023.
