John Abraham’s latest political thriller, The Diplomat, maintained a steady performance at the box office on its second day. After a moderate opening on March 14, 2025, the film continued its run with minimal fluctuation in earnings.

According to early estimates from Sacnilk.com, The Diplomat collected approximately ₹4.35 crore on Saturday, March 15. The film had debuted with ₹4 crore on its opening day, showing a slight growth on its second day. With this, the total box office collection now stands at ₹8.35 crore.
Meanwhile, Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal, continues to dominate even after a month in theaters. The historical drama earned ₹6.92 crore on its fifth Saturday, bringing its total to a staggering ₹553.67 crore. With no signs of slowing down, Chhaava remains the top performer at the box office.

Comparatively, The Diplomat has not managed to surpass the opening day numbers of John Abraham’s previous film, Vedaa. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, Vedaa released on August 15, 2024, alongside Stree 2 and Khel Khel Mein. It earned ₹6.30 crore on its first day but eventually flopped, closing at ₹22.50 crore net in India. Stree 2 outshined them all, becoming the first Hindi film to surpass ₹600 crore at the box office.
