Sushant Singh Rajput Case: Mumbai Police Discloses Actor Had Googled His Name Hours Before Death

New Delhi: After Sushant Singh Rajput’s unfortunate and untimely death, the world went into a state of shock. Mumbai Police officials, who are investigating the case, have reportedly questioned around 56 people. The case took a different turn when the late actor’s father filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty in Patna Police Station accusing her for the abetment of SSR’s suicide. Bihar Police immediately started their investigation and reached Mumbai the day after. There have been reports doing rounds that the Bihar Police has not been receiving enough co-operation from the Mumbai Police. Recently while interacting with the media, Mumbai Police Chief Param Bir Singh told that the actor had Googled his name, Disha Salian’s name and some information about mental illness hours before his death. The police revealed that the details from his mobile phone and laptop reveal that he might have been worried about conjecture connecting him with Disha’s death. "It has come to surface that he had bipolar disorder, he was undergoing treatment and taking medicines for it. What circumstances led to his death is the subject of our investigation,” an official said. Also, when enquired about any political connections, the official said, “There is no evidence against any politician from any party.” Speaking about the late actor’s family’s FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, Mr Singh said that the actress was amongst the 56 people who have been questioned. They also mentioned that she has been called to the police station several times and has been summoned twice. “Her statement was recorded twice and she was called to the police station several times. I can't comment about her whereabouts,” he further said. He added, “During the probe, we found he had Rs 18 crore in his account, of which around Rs 4.5 crore are still there. Till now, no direct transfer to Rhea Chakraborty's account has been found, we are still investigating.” The Police official ended his statement by saying that they are investigating every angle in the death case and assured that they will look into everything. He said, “All angles are being investigated, be it professional rivalry, financial transactions or health. We have taken his laptop and phone as technical evidence, we will look into everything," Watch this space for more updates.
