Sanya Malhotra On Preparing For 'Shakuntala Devi': With The Look In Place, I Got Into Her Shoes Easily

Sanya Malhotra will be seen playing the role of late mathematics genius Shakuntala Devi's daughter Anupama Banerjee in the biopic featuring Vidya Balan in titular role.

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Sanya Malhotra, who made her acting debut with Aamir Khan starrer 'Dangal', has a plate full of various projects in which she'll be seen playing varied characters to make 2020 memorable for her fans. In 2020, Sanya Malhotra has three releases lined up for this year 'Shakuntala Devi', 'Pagglait' and 'Ludo'. Every actor has a distinct process of preparing for their roles and Sanya Malhotra says she thoroughly enjoys the process of prepping before a film. Talking about how she preps for 'Shakuntala Devi' in which she plays the role of Vidya Balan's onscreen daughter.

I believe that 70% of our job is done by the makeup and hair department. With the look in place, I got into her shoes easily. My director, too, helped me a lot to understand my character in the movie," Sanya explained how she got the nuances right for the character. Sanya has always accepted the many shades of different portrayals and now too, she is all set to own this year with her three releases. With her aspirations, talent, and sincerity, she has got positive response from movie buffs for all her performances till now. Last seen in 'The Phothgraph' opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui', Sanya's fans are now looking forward to watching her on the big screen once again. Apart from 'Shakuntala Devi', the 'Badhaai Ho' actress will also be seen in Anurag Basu's 'Ludo' opposite Aditya Roy Kapur & Ekta Kapoor-Guneet Monga's women-centric film 'Pagglait' for which she has been shooting in Lucknow.
