As of now, the Mumbai police has transferred the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for further investigation. As per Supreme Court's directions from its verdict in Rhea's petition on 19th August, any new case or FIR in Sushant's case will be investigated by CBI. Meanwhile, Rajput’s family lawyer Vikas Singh alleged that the complaint was illegal and that they will take serious action in this matter. Singh reportedly accused the 'Jalebi' actress of trying to deflect the investigation by filing such complaints. 'Dil Bechara' actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14. Since his heavenly board, CBI, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) are striving hard to bust the death probe. Several key suspects have been interrogated so far but actor's girlfriend continues to be the centre of controversy.
