Pornography Case: Mumbai Crime Branch Files Charge-Sheet Against Raj Kundra & Others
The Mumbai Police filed a supplementary charge-sheet against businessman Raj Kundra in connection with an alleged pornography case.
Mumbai: The Crime Branch of Mumbai Police on Wednesday (September 15) submitted a 1500-page supplementary charge-sheet in connection with an alleged pornography case before the Sessions Court against Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra, a report in ANI said. The chargesheet has filed against Raj Kundra and others involved in the case.
The Crime Branch had arrested Raj Kundra on July 19 for his alleged involvement in the production and circulation of pornographic content on mobile applications. It had filed its chargesheet in the alleged obscene films racket case against nine people in April this year.
Raj Kundra has been booked under several sections of the Indian Penal Code and provisions of the Information Technology Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, according to PTI.
The Crime Branch Of Mumbai Police had formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the alleged pornography case in which Raj Kundra was arrested, according to a report in ANI. The SIT is investigating all the FIRs registered separately in the case.
Last month, the Bombay High Court dismissed applications filed by Kundra and his associate Ryan Thorpe, challenging the remand order of Magistrate Court and seeking a release in the case. The duo is currently in jail under judicial custody.
