Raj Kundra Pornography Case: Businessman Gets Interim Relief From Bombay High Court

According to a report of ANI, Raj Kundra has been granted interim relief and his anticipatory bail application has been set for the next hearing on August 25, 2021.

New Delhi: Famous businessman Raj Kundra got arrested last month for his alleged role in the ongoing pornography case. The businessman who is also Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband was booked by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch for his alleged role in the production of pornographic content and streaming them online. Since then, Raj Kundra has been under police custody.

Now, according to the latest update, in the ongoing alleged pornographic case, Raj Kundra has been granted interim relief from the Bombay High Court. According to a report of ANI, Raj Kundra has been granted interim relief and his anticipatory bail application has been set for the next hearing on August 25, 2021.

A report of ANI reads, “Cyber department-related pornography case: Bombay High Court grants interim relief to businessman and Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra and keeps his anticipatory bail application for hearing next Wednesday, 25th August.”

Meanwhile, earlier this month, according to a report of PTI, the Police opposed the bail plea of businessman Raj Kundra saying it would send a wrong message to society. The report further added that the police also told the court that being a British citizen, he might commit the crime again if released on bail or even try to escape.

On a related note, Raj Kundra’s wife Shilpa Shetty, who stayed away from the public eye for almost a month after her husband’s arrest, has returned to the sets of ‘Super Dancer 4’ as a judge alongside Anurag Basu and Geeta Kapoor. Her sister Shamita Shetty has also entered the Bigg Boss OTT house as a contestant.
