Parineeti Chopra's 'Saina' To Have Its Digital Premiere On Amazon Prime Video On This Date

Parineeti Chopra starrer 'Saina', which hit the silver screens on March 26, will premiere on Amazon Prime Video.

Parineeti Chopra starrer ‘Saina’, which released on March 26, will soon be available for viewing on Amazon Prime Video. The sports drama, which is based on the life of star badminton player Saina Nehwal, will have its digital premiere on the leading OTT platform. The streaming giant shared the film’s trailer on social media to announce the premiere date. 

‘Saina’ couldn’t set the cash registers jingling despite getting good reviews from the critics. The film failed to perform as per expectations at the box office.

‘Saina’ will now have its digital premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 23, less than a month of its theatrical release. Check out the promotional video! 

‘Saina’, which was directed by Amole Gupte, also starred Meghna Malik, Manav Kaul and Eshan Naqvi in key roles. The movie was produced by T-Series and Front Foot Pictures.  

Shraddha Kapoor was earlier supposed to play the role of Saina; however, she opted out of the film due to health issues. The makers later roped in Parineeti Chopra. The ‘Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl’ actress received praises from all the corners for her performance in the film.

The likes of 'Roohi', 'Mumbai Saga', 'Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar' released last month in the cinema halls. While 'Roohi' and 'Mumbai Saga' raked in decent moolah, other films failed to set the box office on fire.

The makers of 'Sooryavanshi', 'Bunty Aur Babli 2', 'Thalaivi' have postponed the release dates in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. Interestingly, Farhan Akhtar's much-awaited film 'Toofan' will premiere directly on Amazon Prime Video on May 21, 2021.
