Karan Johar Reveals Kids Yash & Roohi’s Reaction On His Padma Shri Win
After receiving the honour, Karan Johar penned down a note filled with gratitude and also revealed his kids Yash and Roohi's reaction on his Padma Shri win.
New Delhi: Renowned filmmaker Karan Johar has been recently honoured with the fourth highest civilian award in the country – Padma Shri. Apart from KJo, Ekta Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Adnan Sami and others have also been honoured with this prestigious recognition for their contribution in their respective fields.
The Padma Shri Award ceremony marked the presence of President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and other well-known personalities. The ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ director was also present to take this prestigious award from President Ram Nath Kovind, which took place on November 8, 2021, at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

After receiving the honour, Karan Johar penned down a note filled with gratitude on his social media and shared some pictures. He also revealed how his kids Yash and Roohi reacted on his Padma Shri win. The ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ director wore a black outfit designed by his dear friend Manish Malhotra.
Sharing the post on his Instagram, Karan Johar wrote, “About last evening…. A truly memorable moment in my life….. I knew I would have made my father so proud and was so happy to have my mom there by my side…. My babies asked me “ dada you won a medal? “ and I replied “yes I did I hope you do too one day “!! The #padmashri … Humbled and honoured thank you @manishmalhotra05 for styling the evening for me”.
He also shared a video from the event yesterday and shared on Instagram, “Today felt surreal! I am honoured and humbled that the prestigious Padma Shri Award was bestowed on me. I feel extremely fortunate to receive it from the hands of our honourable President Shri Ram Nath Kovind. This is a momumental day for me, my mother, my kids and my company, and will forever be etched in my memory. Thank you so much for all your wishes and the abundance of love!”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Karan Johar will be next directing Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the upcoming film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. The movie will also feature Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.
