Ishq Vishk Rebound teaser: The teaser of 'Ishq Vishk Rebound', a sequel to Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Ishq Vishk’, was released on Thursday, offering a sneak peek at the four main characters portrayed by Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan, Jibraan Khan, and Naila Grewal. This teaser explores contemporary dating dynamics, weaving a tale of mushy romance, genuine friendship, and unexpected betrayal.

The teaser begins with Rohit Saraf discussing how people in love tend to see their beloved in everyone around them. As the other characters are introduced, the romantic track "Chot Dil Pe Lagi" from the original Ishq Vishk plays in the background, evoking a sense of nostalgia. However, Rohit quickly clarifies that this story explores a different kind of love. We get a glimpse into the vibrant world of Ishq Vishk Rebound through the teaser. 

'Ishq Vishk,' which hit theaters 20 years ago, followed the story of childhood friends Rajiv (Shahid Kapoor) and Payal (Amrita Rao). As they grew older, Payal fell in love with Rajiv, who remained oblivious to her feelings. 

Netizens hope for Shahid Kapoor cameo

Though netizens liked the teaser, they also missed Shahid Kapoor and hoped for his cameo in the film. 

“Want Shahid Kapoor cameo," wrote a user. “I think Rohit Saraf is perfect replacement of Shahid Kapoor,” commented another user. 

“We want Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao cameo..!! Plzz,” read another comment. 

A user wrote, “Thank you So Much for retaining the OG singer Sonu Nigam's voice in the movie.” 

Another also commented about the songs of the Shahid Kapoor starrer. “2 recreations in the teaser wil build some excitement for the film,” the comment read. 

Directed by Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari and produced by Ramesh Taurani and Jaya Taurani, 'Ishq Vishk Rebound' is set to release in theaters on June 21.
