Sushant Singh Rajput Death: Amid Nepotism Debate, Irrfan Khan's Son Requests People To Stop Blame Game

Irrfan Khan's elder son Babil Khan shared a long post on social media, requesting the fans to not indulge in blame game and to 'stop investigating'.

New Delhi: The untimely demise of Sushant Singh Rajput has once again put the spotlight on nepotism in Bollywood. The ‘Pavitra Rishta’ actor’s suicide has re-ignited debates on topics like nepotism, lobbying culture, favoritism and insider vs outsider in the film industry. Several fans have expressed their displeasure over the partial treatment given to the star kids in the industry. One of the Instagram users had urged Irrfan Khan’s elder son Babil Khan to unfollow all the star kids. Babil gave a humble reply to the user and wrote, “@yashbansal2937 brother, do you understand the pressures and expectations of being the son of someone who changed the concept of acting in Indian cinema? I understand your frustration against nepotism, but there are two sides to every coin.” His reply won the hearts of the fans on social media. (Source- Instagram) Babil Khan has now penned a hard-hitting post on Instagram, urging people to not use Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise as a reason to rebel against nepotism. He also requested the people to 'stop investigating' the reason behind the 'Raabta' actor's suicide and put an end to the 'blame game'. We’ve lost two very sincere people and sincerity is key in our spiritual journey, thus it comes as an unbelievable shock, the way Sushant has departed. Naturally, we have descended into pinning the blame on something or someone, which in itself is the most futile act because to find peace by playing the blame game is not honest peace, it is a fleeting reflection of a lie. I urge you to not blame someone or something for this incredibly unfortunate happening, I urge you to accept that life is filled with leg spin deliveries bouncing off spin with no apparent explanation or understanding provided, I urge you to stop investigating the reason because it only brings more despair to the people intimately suffering the loss. Instead we must celebrate the evolution of these sincere men and let their wisdom manifest in our own journeys in some way, hoping to keep little lanterns of their memories ignited in our sensitive souls,” his post read. "I’m saying stand up for what’s right without using Sushant’s demise as an excuse, if you want to rebel against nepotism, do so, but don’t use Sushant as a reason to why you’re doing so now. Stand up for what’s right regardless anyway in any case. (And it would and should be my fight to prove to the audience that I deserve a shot.),” Babil added.

Irrfan Khan, last seen in 'Angrezi Medium', left for his heavenly abode on April 29 at Mumbai's Kokilaben hospital. Babil keeps on sharing throwback pictures and videos of the 'Piku' star on his Instagram handle. Talking about Sushant, the 34-year-old actor was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his residence in Bandra on June 14. His funeral took place at Pawan Hans crematorium, Vile Parle on June 15. A week after his demise, Sushant's family organised a prayer meet at their residence in Patna.
