'Housefull 5' Box Office Collection Day 2: The latest installment in the beloved Housefull franchise, 'Housefull 5', has ignited the box office, demonstrating a remarkably strong performance in its opening weekend. Despite facing competition and receiving mixed critical reviews, the comedy juggernaut has powered past the ₹50 crore mark within just two days of its release.
After opening to ₹24 crore on Friday, 'Housefull 5' witnessed a significant 25% boost, raking in ₹30 crore on Saturday. This unexpected upswing comes despite stiff competition from other major theatrical releases. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has now comfortably sailed past the ₹50 crore mark within its first weekend. Akshay Kumar’s star-studded film has grossed ₹54 crore in total.
The film is launched in two versions, titled Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B, each featuring a different climax. The core story remains identical for most of the runtime, but the final twist diverges dramatically depending on the version viewers choose.

So far, Housefull 5A has emerged as the audience favourite, registering a stronger response across the country. On Saturday, it recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 37.97%, with peak viewership in evening and night shows. Morning show numbers started modestly at 15.40%, but rose sharply to 52.32% by the night. Interestingly, Chennai led with the highest regional turnout. In comparison, Housefull 5B saw a more subdued response, with an overall occupancy of 21.97%.
'Housefull 5' Star-Studded Cast
The film boasts an ensemble cast, including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Nana Patekar, among others. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, 'Housefull 5' revolves around a murder mystery on a cruise ship, with three characters - Akshay, Riteish, and Abhishek - playing the role of Jolly, the billionaire's successor.
As per ABPLive review of the movie, "True to its legacy, this installment doesn’t disappoint. While the trailer may not have created much excitement, the film turns out to be surprisingly entertaining. The first half is packed with humour, the second half holds up well, and overall, it succeeds in what it sets out to do—offer a good time."
