Great Opportunities Are Literally On Her Lap: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Takes A Dig At Alia Bhatt In Old Interview

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan reportedly slammed Alia Bhatt for her privilege of having 'only good opportunities which are literally on her lap'.

New Delhi: An old video of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan reportedly dissing Alia Bhatt for her privilege of having 'only good opportunities which are literally on her lap'. Celebrities have often remarked on the nepotism debate in the past, which has fueled the discussion. Aishwarya's video has surfaced to add to the ongoing argument on the internet despite the fact that the long debate doesn't seem to be winding down.

A old interview clip was posted online with the caption,"When #AishwaryaRaiBachchan took a sly dig at #AliaBhatt's nepotistic privilege."

In the old interview, the actor can be heard saying,"I have said this to her also, 'It's fantastic for you'. The kind of support Karan (Johar) has given to her from the beginning, and to have that kind of an establishment with you is very comforting because you know it is not tough. You can have it all laid out for the longest time. And she smiled. It's great where you as an actor know there are only good opportunities ahead."

"But what's nice is she is also doing good work, along with great opportunities which are there literally on her lap, regularly," she added.

Social media users are wondering whether Ashwariya Rai was taking a jibe at the actor or just spilling facts in the video.

Many people, however, defended Alia and mocked Aishwarya for being 'jealous' of the actress' accomplishment. Others made fun of her husband, Abhishek Bachchan, saying that he, too, got opportunity on a platter.

On the work front, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be next seen in 'Ponniyin Selvan 2', a sequel to Mani Ratnam's Tamil film that is scheduled to release in April.
