From '83' To 'Jersey', These Hindi Films To Release In December In Theatres

Thinking of watching a movie in theatres? Here's the list of Hindi films releasing in the cinema halls in December 2021!

New Delhi: Several highly-anticipated flicks including ‘Sooryavanshi’, ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ arrived in the cinema halls in November 2021. While Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Sooryavanshi’ managed to set the box office on fire, films like ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ and ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ couldn’t set the cash registers jingling. Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma’s ‘Antim’, which released last week, received a positive response from the audience. 

Cinephiles can expect a blockbuster December as Bollywood biggies like Ranveer Singh, Ayushmann Khurrana and Shahid Kapoor are coming up with their respective projects. While Ranveer and Shahid will be seen in sports dramas, Ayushmann is ready to create magic on the big screen with his new romantic film. Here’s the list of films, which are releasing in December 2021!

Tadap

The romantic action thriller, which will mark the Bollywood debut of Suniel Shetty’s son Ahan Shetty, is the Hindi remake of Telugu film ‘RX 100’. The trailer of ‘Tadap’ has managed to create anticipation among the movie buffs as it features high-octane action sequences and romantic songs. Ahan and Tara Sutaria’s sizzling chemistry has already created ripples on social media and trade pundits are hoping their flick will rake in big moolah at the box office. ‘Tadap’ will hit the silver screens on December 3. 

Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui 

Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor starrer 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui' has been making waves ever since the trailer was unveiled. The makers will showcase the love story of a cross-functional athlete and a transwoman on the big screen. The romantic drama, which is filled with emotional drama, promises to take the viewers on a roller-coaster ride. Ayushmann-Vaani's scorching chemistry and the plot have already become the talk of the town. We won’t be surprised if the film packs a solid punch at the box office.

Ranveer Singh’s much-awaited sports drama, which is based on India’s 1983 Cricket World Cup victory, will finally arrive in the cinema halls on December 24. The Kabir Khan directorial has been delayed twice due to the COVID-19 crisis. While several leading producers released their projects on OTT platforms, Kabir and his team waited for the theatres to re-open. 

The trailer of ‘83’ showcased the inspiring journey of the Indian cricket team, which clinched the winner’s trophy from the mighty West Indies in the finals of the World Cup. 

Jersey

After tasting success with 'Kabir Singh', Shahid Kapoor is back with the Hindi remake of another Telugu film. He will be seen playing the role of a cricketer in 'Jersey', which will release on December 31. 

The story will revolve around a 36-year-old cricketer, who decides to return to the sport for the sake of his son. The film co-starring Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur is packed with emotions and drama. The trailer has crossed the 50-million views mark on YouTube, which suggests that is has resonated well with the audience.
