Producers Will Have To Take Permission From Defence Ministry To Make A Movie Or Web Series On Indian Army

In a letter to I&B, the defence ministry said that producers must obtain permission from the ministry before telecasting a film or web series on military-related matters.

There has been an ongoing issue in the portrayal of the Indian Army in different movies and web series. To some people, filmmakers are not doing an appropriate job in the character illustration of military personals. However, making films, web series, and serials on the Indian Army is going to be difficult now. The Defence Ministry says that before telecasting anything related to the Indian Army, the producer must take the NOC from the Ministry of Defence. Many people from the Ministry of Defence had complained that people show the uniforms of army personnel and soldiers in a derogatory manner in the film.
