DeepVeer Ki Shaadi: Here's why Rohit Shetty will NOT attend Deepika-Ranveer's wedding in Italy!

After being in a relationship for over five years, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are all set to tie the knot on November 14 and 15 in Lake Como, Italy. The two lovebirds announced the news of their wedding on social media and since then fans have been eagerly waiting to see them walk down the aisle. Although, DeepVeer want their wedding to be a private affair, they have invited their close friends from the industry. Ranveer and Deepika went to Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Farah Khan’s place to personally invite them for their wedding. It seems the two are not the only directors to be invited for the wedding of the year. A report in an entertainment portal suggested that Rohit Shetty, who is the director of Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film ‘Simmba’, has also been invited for DeepVeer’s wedding. However, the  ‘Golmaal’ director won’t be able to make it to the wedding because of work commitments. Rohit Shetty is currently busy with the post-production work of ‘Simmba’, which also stars Sara Ali Khan. The ‘Singham’ director also has a hectic schedule because he is hosting Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 on Colors TV, the report in Pinkvilla said. Although, Rohit won’t be there to witness DeepVeer tie the knot in Italy, he will attend their wedding reception in Mumbai on November 28, the report further added. Rohit Shetty, who has also worked with Deepika Padukone in ‘Chennai Express’, sent his congratulatory wishes to the couple on Instagram. ‘’When we started the film he was a young talented star for me But today as he performs his last shot for the film I know I've earned a Kid brother for life who is now set to embark upon a new beautiful journey with someone equally as charming and wonderful as him. I am proud to showoff today that my Simmba is marrying my Meenamma!!!. I Wish them all the luck for a blissfully beautiful future together, ’’ Rohit wrote on  Instagram after wrapping up the shoot of ‘Simmba’.

'Simmba;, which also stars Sonu Sood, will hit the silver screens on December 28. The trailer of the much-awaited film will be unveiled on December 3. (Source- Instagram) Deepika and Ranveer's mehendi ceremony is currently underway at Villa Del Balbianello, Lake Como and it is being reported that Sufi and Punjabi songs will be sung at the function. As per the latest buzz, the two lovebirds have got engaged on November 12 in a traditional Phool Muddi (Konkani) ceremony. Watch this space for more updates!
