Deepika Padukone's Cameo, Shah Rukh Khan's Roles & Plot Twists; Redditors Breakdown Jawan Trailer

After his most recent film, 'Pathaan', Shah Rukh Khan will be making a comeback to the big screen.

New Delhi: Atlee helmed 'Jawan' trailer has been released and has people fascinated. After his most recent film, 'Pathaan', rocked the box office, Shah Rukh Khan will be making a comeback to the big screen. The voice-over in the trailer for his upcoming movie introduces a character who is referred to as a "king," who has lost all of his wars one after the other and is enraged. 

The next scene shows Shah Rukh Khan hijacking the metro and being chased by Nayanthara and her team of police officers. Then Deepika Padukone makes a brief cameo and beats SRK's character. While Vijay Sethupathi plays Kalee, the "fourth largest weapon dealer in the world," Shah Rukh enters the scene as an anti-hero. There are flashbacks to Shah Rukh's time as a soldier as well as to his mother's, supposedly played by Deepika, suffering.

The audience has been trying to decipher the plot since Shah Rukh Khan appeared in the trailer in a range of avatars and the timeline was a little unclear.

A user offered an in-depth analysis of the scenes which were posted by BollyBlindsNGossip on Reddit. 

"1).Srk prolly with other girls( including Priyamani)might have hijacked a the metro train. Priyamani was also seen as cop/army. So she might have realised there's something wrong and teamed up with srk. 2). Srk is giving taking a promise. There's also another shot where SRK is giving promise. 3). Shows that srk is born in Jail. It could also be Vijay sethupathi idk... 4). Someone important to srk died. But who? Also the colour grading is set into past 5). Can't really say if they both are srk. I'm thinking it's double action film. If it's double action (mostly cause Atlee) then either father or brother. I'm going with father and son duo. 6). Deepika is also a jawan. 7). My take on jawan's story. Srk(son role) will be born and brought up in jail. His mother was put in jail even though she's innocent. SRK's dad is an IPS officer. Vijay sethupathi is colleague to SRK's dad. He backstabs SRK's dad and kills him. The son is set to take revenge on Vijay sethupathi who climbed up the ladder to become a senior offical. All those girls in the movie who said YES CHEIF, could be daughters of other soldiers who died along with SRK's dad. Nayanthara will be investigating officer to take down srk or working blindly under Vijay sethupathi to realise the truth later," the user wrote.

Along with Shah Rukh Khan, the movie also stars Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, and Sunil Grover in prominent roles. Deepika Padukone makes a cameo appearance.
