Mumbai: Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi are all set to entertain the audience with their new release ‘Chehre’. Movie buffs have been eagerly waiting for ‘Chehre’ ever since it was announced that Big B and Emraan would feature in it. The two Bollywood stars are working together for the first time in career. While several filmmakers have decided to premiere their films on OTT platforms, Anand Pandit is releasing his much-awaited flick in the cinema halls.
‘Chehre Release Date’
The mystery thriller will hit the silver screens on Friday (August 27). ‘Chehre’ is the second major Hindi film to release in theatres after the COVID-19 lockdown was lifted. Theatrical business took a big hit as the cinema halls were closed during the second wave of Coronavirus in India. Trade pundits are expecting ‘Chehre’ to gain decent footfalls at the box office.

While Amitabh is playing the role of a lawyer, Hashmi will be seen as a business tycoon. The film will mark the Bollywood debut of popular TV actress Krystle D'Souza. Rhea Chakraborty, Siddhanth Kapoor, Annu Kapoor, Raghubir Yadav and Dhritiman Chatterjee are playing pivotal roles in ‘Chehre’.
All eyes are on Rhea Chakraborty, who is portraying the role of Aana. The ‘Jalebi’ actress remained in headlines post Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Chakraborty didn’t feature in the promotional posters of ‘Chehre’, which sparked rumours about her exit from the film.

The trailer of the multi-starrer has managed to create anticipation among the audience. Despite getting delayed due to the COVID-19 crisis, Rumi Jafry''s film has grabbed eyeballs, courtesy the trailer and songs. It remains to be seen if it is able to set the cash registers jingling or not.
Last week, Akshay Kumar's 'BellBottom' arrived in the cinema halls. The spy thriller co-starring Lara Dutta, Huma Qureshi and Vaani Kapoor didn't perform as per expectations.
