Akshay Kumar To Play PM Narendra Modi’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval In Neeraj Pandey’s Film?

Akshay Kumar will reportedly play the role of Ajit Doval, who is the National Security Advisor to PM Narendra Modi in Neeraj Pandey's film.

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who is gearing up for the release of ‘Mission Mangal’, is known for doing films on patriotic themes. The ‘Kesari’ actor’s next film ‘Mission Mangal’ is loosely based on the story of scientists at Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), who contributed to the Mars Orbiter Mission. As per the latest buzz, Khiladi Kumar is all set to play Ajit Doval, who is National Security Advisor (NSA) to PM Narendra Modi. The ‘PadMan’ actor will reportedly team with director Neeraj Panday for the film, which will revolve around the career highlights of Ajit Doval. A report in a leading daily has suggested Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey will team up once again for the film, which will be a thriller and focus the life of Ajit Doval. The two have previously worked in ‘Special 26’ and ‘Baby’. Interestingly, Neeraj was the producer of Akshay’s films –‘Rustom’, ‘Naam Shabana’ and ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’.

The report said that the work on the script has started and the research is also underway. The film will take some time to go on floors as both Akki and Neeraj are busy with their respective projects. "Neeraj will first make Chanakya with Ajay Devgn, which was announced a few months ago. Akshay also has to complete prior commitments. The team wants to lock the script before making an official announcement," a source told Mumbai Mirror.
In Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam starrer 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', Paresh Rawal was seen as Govind Bhardwaj. The character was fashioned after Doval. Talking about Akshay Kumar, the ‘Airlift’ actor is currently busy promoting ‘Mission Mangal’. The film co-starring Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menon will hit the silver screens on August 15.
The National-award winning actor will two more films lined up for release in 2019- ‘Housefull 4’ and ‘Good News’. He also has ‘Laxmmi Bomb’, ‘Sooryavanshi’ and ‘Bachchan Pandey’ in his kitty.
