Housefull 5A Vs 5B: Confused About Which Version To Watch? Here's What Sets Them Apart

Titled Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B, this star-studded Sajid Nadiadwala comedy takes an innovative approach that has left audiences curious.

New Delhi: Bollywood's beloved comedy franchise 'Housefull' is gearing up to break new ground with its fifth installment — and it’s not just the laughs that have fans buzzing this time. 'Housefull 5' is creating waves even before hitting theatres by becoming India’s first film to offer not one, but two different endings. Yes, you read that right — 'Housefull 5A' and 'Housefull 5B' will each have their own unique climax, giving audiences an unprecedented reason to return to the theatres twice.

The ensemble-driven comedy, known for its chaotic humour and big-budget flair, is stepping into uncharted territory with a murder mystery twist. "I have been thinking about this idea for the past 30 years - how to create a thriller with an X factor that leaves the audience talking long after they leave the theatre. So I came up with a story where every theatre will have a different killer,” explained producer Sajid Nadiadwala.

'Housefull 5' Twist

While the majority of the film remains identical across both editions, the final 15-20 minutes take a sharp turn in separate directions. According to stars Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, viewers can expect two entirely different outcomes depending on which version they watch. The idea is to offer fans a fresh perspective with each screening, effectively doubling the film's entertainment value — and potentially, its box office earnings.

In the story, one major character is murdered, and six others emerge as suspects. Depending on whether you choose Housefull 5A or 5B, the killer changes, adding an intriguing layer of suspense and replay value rarely seen in Indian cinema.

Some moviegoers might find the dual-release format a tad confusing, especially when it comes to booking the right version. Could this storytelling twist become the next big trend in Bollywood? For now, fans have a thrilling decision to make: Housefull 5A, Housefull 5B, or both?

Whichever you choose, one thing is certain — 'Housefull 5' promises double the suspense, double the comedy, and a double dose of fun.

'Housefull 5' hit theatres on June 6, 2025. The film is backed by producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who has also penned the story and screenplay, while the directorial reins are handled by Tarun Mansukhani.
