New Delhi: 'Adipurush' starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan is now awaiting the grand release in theatres. As per official numbers by trade analysts, the film's run time is of 3 hours. The film has also received a 'U' certificate by the censor board. As per film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, the CBFC certified 'Adipurush' today.

The intention of the makers of 'Adipurush' is clear from the start. On earlier occasions, they have been quoted in interviews as saying that the film is a way to enlighten and inform the younger generations about a very important aspect of Indian mythology. Om Raut’s directorial doesn’t only showcase visual grandeur but also brings out the rich story highlighting the crux of Hindu mythical heritage and at heart the story of Ramayana for contemporary audiences. 

Adipurush plot

'Adipurush' is inspired by the Hindu epic 'Ramayana'. Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan will portray characters inspired by Lord Ram, Sita and the demon king Raavana. More than the epic story, fans and audiences are really excited to watch the era come alive with the use of visual effects. After the criticism the film got post the teaser release last year, the post-production work on the VFX was refined to give a grander and more realistic taste to it.

As per the two trailers of 'Adipurush', the VFX look improved as did the 'Islamisation of facial features' of characters like Lankesh( played by Saif Ali Khan) and Bajran ( Devdatta Nage).

Adipurush, directed by Om Raut and produced by T-Series, Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles, Pramod, and Vamsi of UV Creations is scheduled to release worldwide on June 16, 2023.
