Box Office Battle: Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha To Clash With Allu Arjun Starrer Pushpa: The Rise On Christmas

Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa: The Rise' and Aamir Khan-Kareena Kapoor Khan's 'Laal Singh Chaddha' will hit the silver screens on the same day.

Mumbai: It will be clash of the titans as Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan will lock horns with South star Allu Arjun at the box office. Allu Arjun starrer ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ will clash with ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ as both the films will release on the same day. It will turn out to be a blockbuster Christmas as the makers of the two movies have promised to entertain the audience by offering something new on the platter. 

Allu took to social media to share a new poster of ‘Pushpa: Part 1’ and announce the release date. He informed the fans that his highly anticipated flick will release in five different languages.  

'Pushpa' was originally supposed to arrive in the cinema halls on August 13. However, the film got delayed due to the second wave of COVID-19 in India.

The action thriller, which is being directed by Sukumar, also stars Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Jagapathi Babu and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles. Fahadh, known for his acting prowess, is making his debut in Telugu cinema with ‘Pushpa’.  

When Aamir Khan Met J&K LG

The cast and crew of 'Laal Singh Chaddha' are shooting for an important sequence in Ladakh. Last week, Aamir and Kiran Rao met Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at the Raj Bhavan. They discussed the new film policy of the Union Territory, which is expected to be announced soon. 

“Met renowned film actor Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao today. We discussed new film policy of J&K, which will be released shortly. The discussion also focused on reviving J&K glory in Bollywood and making it a favourite film shooting destination,” Manoj Sinha tweeted. 

Laal Singh Chaddha Cast 

The comedy drama, directed by Advait Chandan, features popular stars like Kareena Kapoor and Naga Chaitanya. Aamir and Bebo, who are working together for the third time, have previously delivered hits like ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Talaash’. 

The movie, which is the Hindi adaptation of 'Forrest Grump', was slated to hit the silver screens in December 2020. However, the makers postponed the release due to COVID-19 crisis.

Films Which Will Clash In 2021

On a related note, Akshay Kumar's 'BellBottom' and 'Fast And Furious 9' will also clash at the box office on August 19. 'BellBottom' also features Lara Dutta, Huma Qureshi and Vaani Kapoor. If things go as planned, Akshay’s ‘Prithviraj’ and Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Jersey’ will also release on the same date.
